How These Ten Fit W14's Buildings
A service list is only useful if it matches the faults that keep arriving. Here is how the group maps to the ground.
Heating and Hot Water
Boiler repair, servicing, installation and power flushing all trace back to hard Thames Water and to flats where one boiler is squeezed into a kitchen cupboard. In mansion blocks, communal heating adds another layer.
Water Where It Should Not Be
Emergency plumbing, leak detection and burst pipe repair deal with leaks, and in a converted terrace a leak seldom stays on its own floor.
Drains and Bathrooms
Blocked drains and toilet repair cover the waste side, a worry in an area where Counter's Creek became a sewer. Bathroom installation covers the planned end of the same pipework.
The Two Things That Sit Under Every Quote
Whichever page you start from, two things stay the same.
Written Before Work, Not After
The partner company quotes in writing first. A figure that appears for the first time on an invoice is not the arrangement.
Prices Here Are Published Ranges
The figures on these pages come from published London price guides, not from us, and they are not quotes. Your own written price from the partner is the one that counts.

Frequently Asked Questions
What can you arrange?
Ten services: emergency plumbing, leak detection and repair, blocked drains, burst pipe repair, emergency boiler repair, boiler servicing, boiler installation and replacement, toilet repair, bathroom installation and power flushing. Each has its own page with local detail. If your problem does not fit a heading, describe it on the phone and we will say whether a partner company can help.
Do you do the work yourselves?
No. We find the independently owned local plumbing company that can reach you soonest and suits the fault, and we text you its name before anyone arrives. That company quotes in writing, does the work, invoices you and takes payment directly. We handle no payment, but we stay on the phone for anything that needs chasing afterwards.
Is there a call-out charge?
That depends on the partner company, which sets its own prices. Published London guides put a daytime emergency call-out at roughly £80 to £150 including the first hour, and £150 to £250 overnight. These are not our quotes. The partner states its figure in writing before it starts, so you see the price before any work.
Can I get a price before someone attends?
We do not quote jobs on the phone, because the partner company only knows the cost after seeing the fault. What you do get is a written quote before work starts, itemising parts and labour, and a chance to say no. The published ranges on each service page help you judge whether a figure is reasonable.
Which areas do these services cover?
West Kensington, Barons Court, Olympia and Brook Green, with North End and Kensington taken by arrangement, across W14 and the edges of W6 and W8. These places sit within roughly a mile of our base on North End Road. Olympia and Kensington can fall under a different council, so tell us your full address.
Do you handle planned work as well as emergencies?
Yes. The line is open at all hours for leaks, lockouts and floods, and the same number takes bookings for boiler servicing, power flushing, toilet replacements and bathroom installations. Planned jobs are easier to schedule and usually cost less than out-of-hours work, so it is worth booking a service before the first cold week rather than during it.
What standards do the services follow?
Water work follows the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 with WRAS-approved fittings. Gas work follows the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and the manufacturer's instructions. New boilers meet Building Regulations Part L, unvented cylinders Part G3, drainage Part H, and system cleansing BS 7593. Ask the partner which applies to your job.
Why does hard water come up so often?
Thames Water states that all the water in its region is hard, and its 2025 report for the City supply zone lists roughly 266 mg/l of calcium carbonate. Scale builds up inside combi heat exchangers, cylinders and shower valves, and eventually shows as a boiler fault. That is why servicing and power flushing sit alongside the repair services.
How do I choose between repair and replacement?
Compare the repair quote with the age and condition of the appliance. A small fault on a fairly young boiler is normally worth repairing, while repeat faults, a cracked heat exchanger or unavailable parts push towards replacement. A fitted combi is published at roughly £2,500 to £5,500 in London. Ask the partner to put both options in writing.
What if I am not sure which service I need?
Ring 07460 069834 and describe what you can see, hear or smell. No heat is usually a boiler or heating job, water where it should not be is plumbing, and a gurgle from a drain is a drainage job. If you are still unsure, we will ask a few questions and point you to the right partner.
